In the second quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications on iOS in Brazil saw dynamic changes in downloads, revenue, and user engagement. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained its strong presence with weekly downloads ranging between 87K and 211K. It saw a notable peak in the week of June 10, reaching approximately 212K downloads. The app's weekly active users remained stable, averaging around 5.7M throughout the quarter.

Facebook also showed consistent user engagement with weekly active users hovering around 28M. Downloads fluctuated between 84K and 141K, with a significant increase in the week of May 6. Revenue for Facebook had a gradual increase, peaking at about $8.1K in the week of June 17.

Threads demonstrated a strong upward trend in downloads, starting at 86K in early April and surging to nearly 197K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users saw a peak in early June with around 3.2M users, before slightly dropping to approximately 2.2M by the end of the quarter.

Telegram Messenger exhibited steady download numbers, ranging from 81K to 110K. The highest number of downloads was observed in the last week of June at roughly 109K. Weekly active users for Telegram remained stable, averaging around 2M. Revenue showed a slight increase, peaking at about $20.9K in late April.

Google Meet saw a relatively stable download pattern, with numbers fluctuating between 50K and 80K. The highest downloads were recorded in mid-April at approximately 80K. Weekly active users stayed consistent, averaging around 40K throughout the quarter.
